By: Erika Smith, Community Life Coordinator, Woodstone of Hutchinson
On March 22, 2017 Woodstone Senior Living along with other senior living facilities were presented a Low Vision Reader courtesy of the Lions Club as part of their Legacy Program.
All Lions clubs around the world are encouraged to complete a Legacy Project by June 30, 2018. Lions are known around the world for their service to the blind and visually impaired, from vision screenings and guide dog sponsorship, to supporting pediatric eye-care centers. For nearly 100 years Lions have worked to improve the lives of people who are blind or living with low vision within their communities.
We are excited to be able offer another great resource for our residents within the comfort of their home. Being able to have the opportunity to enlarge items with the Low Vision Reader will enhance the everyday lives for our residents. We would like to give a huge thank you to the Lions Club for making Woodstone a part of their Legacy Program.
