Through our partnership with Lakeview Medical Center’s Hospice Program, Woodstone Senior Living of Rice Lake’s Memory Care Department was the recipient of an activity blanket made by their Hospice Volunteers. Volunteers have gotten together to make these activity blankets to help Memory Care residents through many situations that may arise throughout their day. They may be upset and need something to keep them calm. They may be looking for something to just keep them busy for a little while.
Activity blankets are wonderful tools as they have many textiles to stimulate different parts of the brain, and also help trigger memories that bring Memory Care residents to a simpler time.
Thank you to our Hospice Volunteers, Coordinators, and Nurses that are so dedicated to our residents! We truly appreciate all that you do here at Woodstone Senior Living!
