By: Kelsey Wichman, Executive Director, Woodstone of Hutchinson
Volunteers make a big difference in the lives of the residents and overall organization. Throughout the volunteering process there is no certain amount of hours you must commit a year too. Woodstone strives on giving the most we can to our residents from bible studies, educational hour, social outings, scenic drives, pet therapy, massage, coffee hour, entertainment, bing-o callers, cooking/baking, teaching a class, fitness activities, reading to a resident, or friendly visits. Woodstone believes the more opportunities and people involved in our residents lives the better we can help maintain a good quality social life for each other.
Woodstone plans to have the experience create a beneficial relationship between the facility, resident, and volunteer. Woodstone’s goal is to tailor the volunteer experience not just to the resident(s) but also to the volunteer.
