Meet our Active Living Community Life Coordinator, Deb Brewer!

What is your role as a Community Life Coordinator?
“To make sure that everyone here is having the most fun humanly possible”
What lead you to this career?
“A desire to make a difference in people’s lives; one smile at a time”
What do you like to do outside of work/hobbies?
“Spending time with our children, grand-children and husband. Gardening, renovating our 1898 home, cooking, baking, shopping for “treasures” (antiques) & misc. crafting”
What makes Woodstone a great place to work?
“The people!! Staff and tenants are absolutely wonderful…it feels like extended family! I can honestly say that I look forward to coming to work every single day, and go home feeling personally fulfilled”
What is your favorite part about being a Community Life Coordinator?
“The people!! Interacting and getting to know each tenant as an individual (they’re all amazing!). The new relationships and experiences that this rewards me with on a daily basis. Discovering common-“likes” between tenants so that we can plan even more fun stuff to do! Interacting with other groups & individuals of Hutchinson to help plan find additional fun activities/events”
What is your favorite thing you’ve done with the tenants?
“Oh…hard one! Don’t know that there is just one….anything that makes them happy makes me happy”
Any fun facts or secret talents you have?
“Me? Heck no! Pretty boring….unless you include being a lifetime resident of Hutch (it’s a great place to have grown up, live and work!)”
We are so incredibly thankful for everything Deb does. She is constantly putting others before herself. She does so much for our community and tenants and that never goes unnoticed. Thank you for all you do and welcome to the team!
