It is important to celebrate National Nurses Week because it recognizes the hard work and dedication of nurses who play a vital role in providing quality care to our residents. It also raises awareness about the important contributions Nurses make to our society and encourages people to show appreciation for their efforts! We are so incredibly thankful for our Nursing staff at Woodstone!

Morgan Gulden, RN
What is your title and role at Woodstone?
Clinical Nurse Supervisor; Registered Nurse. I oversee and implement anything that involves the resident’s health and the care provided to them. I ensure that the health and safely of all the residents are met through observations and assessments on site and phone triage. I do a lot of communicating with medical providers and family members for changes or updates. In the last year, our LCM Sissi has obtained her LPN license and has helped take over some of our medication management and trainings.
How long have you been at Woodstone?
My career at Woodstone began in 2018 when I began working as a care provider while finishing up Nursing school. But I have been the Registered Nurse at Woodstone a little over 2 years.
What is an interesting fact about yourself?
Growing up I showed goats and pigs in 4-H, always loving the country life even though I lived in town. Now, my husband and I live on 5 acres out in the country. We have about 25 laying hens right now at our place. During the summer months, we spend a lot of time gardening and canning the produce from our garden. I am hopeful that the future will bring more farm animals such as goats, donkey, or a cow.
What are your favorite hobbies outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Our son Arlo is almost 10 months old, so I spend most of my time I have outside of work with him. He is at such a fun age right now – he is crawling all over the place and starting to stand up. I love watching him learn new skills and see his personality develop. Other hobbies that I enjoy are reading and spending time outside when it is nice out with our dogs Luna and Minnie.
What is your favorite memory at Woodstone?
My favorite memories at Woodstone are when we host our large events. Last summer we were finally able to house our Family Picnic for the first time in a few years and it was so fun having our residents and their families there enjoying live music and spending time together.
What makes Woodstone a great place to work?
Our facility size allows up to form meaningful connections with our residents, their families, and our staff. In return, we can provide even better care for the residents who live here because we aim for person centered cares/activities. We always have the motto that we want a “family” style facility. We value everyone in the building and help each other out when needed.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of work?
My favorite hobbies outside of work are spending time with my loved ones as much as I can. I enjoy the outdoors in the warmer months and long car rides with no destination!
What is your favorite memory at Woodstone?
My favorite memory at Woodstone would be all the laughter we share here with our residents and as a team.
What makes Woodstone a great place to work?
Definitely the team we have here! Each Care Provider has a passion in working with the elderly population and is striving to provide the best care for our residents. I personally love the size of our facility, and with only 30 units, you have the opportunity to get to know your residents on a deeper and more meaningful level.
