Here at Woodstone of Rice Lake, we are thankful for those that come in and share their time, skills, and passion with our residents! The fun thing about volunteering, is that there is no right way or wrong way to do it! There is no set agenda to follow and volunteer sessions can be as often, or sporadic, as the individual, or group, chooses.
Kenny has been volunteering his time here at Woodstone for a few years now. He comes in every Wednesday and has coffee and conversation with our residents in the Coffee Shop. Then he heads to our exercise class and joins them for a weekly workout.
Sister Margaret volunteers her time every Thursday at 10am in the Chapel. She offers our interested residents a time of communion and prayer.
Sunjoo Kim is one of our newer volunteers. She uses her talents on the piano, every Monday at 10am, to perform beautiful hymns for her listeners to reflect, relax, and even sing along!
Jodi, from the Rice Lake Public Library, volunteers her time every other Wednesday at 9am to bring the Bookmobile to our residents. She brings in books she thinks they will like, or that they have suggested, and they are able to check them out and return them when finished.
If you are interested in sharing your time, skills, and/or passion with our residents, please give us a call! We would love to chat with you about how you can make a positive impact of a life of someone special!
