By Kelsey Wichman, Executive Director
Here at Woodstone of Hutchinson, we focus our events around children and family. The residents light up during our Halloween and Easter events. That is why Woodstone will put on our community based events because we know how important it is to keep the residents interactive with not just the community volunteers, but also the children.
The residents look forward to the interaction with the children that attend the Woodstone events. The residents like to see the kids faces and how they are dressed for the holidays, hear their jokes, and communicate with the kids throughout what is going on in the building.
We strive to have Woodstone feel like a family oriented place to work and live.
We couldn’t put on our events with how large they have grown if it wasn’t for volunteers that come in and help run the different stations, Woodstone staff, and local community business.
For this up-coming event we would like to extend a special thank-you to the following business for their donations.
- AmerInn
- CineMagic Century 9 Theatre
- Hutch Bowl
- Northern Links
- Woodstone Activities Department
This year’s event, will be on March 26th, and there will be a lot to do for everyone!
At 9:30am the Egg Hunt will start. After the Egg Hunt has finished come inside and register for one of the 16 door prizes from our generous business that have donated them. At 10am we will announce the winners. Until 11am there will be crafts such as color your own Easter Magnet and Color Scratch your Easter shape. Along, with the movie Inside Out playing in our movie theater room come and enjoy Easter bars and a bunny trail mix, with a festive holiday drink provided by the Woodstone kitchen department. Don’t forget to visit the Easter Bunny while he has RSVP’d to this event and he has his friend Mary bringing live bunnies to hold and pet.
We will see you there!
