Care Suites bridge the gap between Assisted Living and Nursing Homes.

Our Care Suites provide around-the-clock personal care for residents who require a higher level of assisted living. We have developed the concept of Care Suites to bridge the gap that we perceive to exist between assisted living communities and nursing homes. Care Suites combine the best features of both: They give people the privacy of living in their own apartment (with a private bathroom) while providing higher levels of care than you’d find in a typical assisted living community.

24-Hour Care Plans 

For residents who need higher levels of assisted living, Woodstone’s Care Suites are specifically designed to provide 24-hour, continuous care. An individual service plan will be completed designed specifically for each resident to help them regain or maintain their independence. Restorative and rehabilitative care enables each resident to do as much for themselves as they are able to do. Woodstone offers scheduled and unscheduled activity programs in the Care Suites every day to help maintain the resident’s spirit and wellbeing.

Activities, Amenities, Homecare, and More 

Our activity program is a very important part of what we do. Each day, you’ll find staff visiting with residents, playing cards, reminiscing, and much more. Many of our activities in the Care Suites are designed for the resident’s abilities. Transportation is provided to and from monthly scheduled group activities or outings for our residents. Residents can receive help with showers and personal hygiene, medication administration, transfer assistance, laundry and linens, weekly housekeeping, and more. Residents in the Care Suites will also receive three home-cooked meals each day, served in our private dining room, or in their own Suite.

Meeting Needs, Promoting Independence

The Care Suites setting is appropriate for individuals with a range of health care needs.  We promote independence but are here to help as needs change.  Reminders, cueing, stand-by assistance, medication management, socialization and reassurance someone is there in case of a fall, can all help to promote independence.  By including these services in the base rate, we can assure that the needs of our residents are met. As needs change over time, we are happy to assist with more advanced health care needs. 

Apartment Features & Accessibility

Residents bring their own furniture and decorate the spacious apartment to reflect their own personal tastes and memories. We believe that anyone who becomes part of our community is home, and we strive to make each resident as comfortable in their new surroundings as possible. Throughout the apartment, you’ll notice a design that makes residents’ lives easier and more accessible including lever handle door hardware, wider halls/doorways, wall-to-wall carpeting, single-handle faucets, electrical outlets placed high for easy reach, high lighting level, and raised television and telephone jacks. The bathrooms feature grab bars, walk-in showers, and higher height toilets.

Healthy, Delicious Home-Cooked Meals

Three home-cooked meals plus healthy snacks are served daily in our beautiful dining room. The Food Services Director prepares all of our meals fresh each day for our residents. Special diets are also available, depending on individual needs. Upon move-in, we meet with family members and the residents to get a sense of what types of foods they like and which ones stir memories of the past.
